Vacancy for Regulatory Consultants

Central Manchester Based

The opportunity has arisen for one or more Consultants to join Intertek Expert Services, Regulatory Operations, which specialise in assisting clients in highly regulated industries develop & implement strategies to achieve compliance with Global Chemicals Regulation. The successful applicant(s) will have the opportunity to take responsibility for all aspects of their role, supported by a global team of experts.

Main duties and responsibilities:

*  Advise and support clients re their compliance with chemicals regulation, project managing contracts from offer to delivery by:

   - Providing strategic consulting and hands-on delivery re implementation of the EU REACH Regulation and / or EU Biocidal Products Directive, including the compilation of dossiers,

    - Collaborating on the development, monitoring and assessment of toxicological and eco-toxicological testing programs, including test / no-test strategies,

     - Conducting assessments for classification & labelling re the EU CLP Regulation and UN GHS.

*  Developing the business through the cultivation of new and existing relationships, attendance / delivery at seminars / conferences and representation within industry groups.

Applicants should have the following:

*   Qualifications to at least graduate level as a Chemist, Toxicologist or Ecotoxicologist,
*   Five years or more experience in chemicals regulation,
*   A track record of expert delivery, gained in a manufacturing, regulatory or consultancy environment, in one or more of the following:

   - EU REACH Regulation,
   - EU Biocidal Products Directive,
   - Toxicological and / or Ecotoxicological testing and assessment,
   - Classification, Labelling & Packaging of Substances and Mixtures.

*  Excellent organisational, communication (oral / written), presentation and team working skills,

Travel

Visits to clients and prospective clients will be required.  Occasional international travel may also be required.
