Vacancy for a Sales Manager (Process Industry Skills & Training)

Flexible Location - c. £50k + Car All. + Benefits

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially-minded individual to develop the future business performance of the well-established National Skills Academy for Process Industries (NSAPI).  Launched by the Government in 2008, NSAPI is an employer-led centre of excellence addressing the skills and training needs of process industries, including Chemical, Polymer, Downstream Oil & Gas and Pharmaceutical industries to provide UK organisations with access to high quality training to boost efficiency & productivity throughout the workplace.

Reporting to the Sales Director, the appointee will identify and build strong relationships with large UK based organisations in each of NSAPI’s footprints, assist the development of sales strategy and effect implementation to deliver agreed income targets.  With a hands-on approach, the role will require broad sector knowledge, strong commercial awareness, real cultural understanding and a talent for building effective relationships that lead to increased revenue.  As an effective advocate for NSAPI at all levels, the successful candidate will relish the opportunity to promote skills and training nationally, through personal presentation, effective marketing and direct engagement with employers and trade organisations.

Candidates, ideally qualified to degree level, will have a demonstrable track record of developing sales in a service environment with experience of consultancy, relationship-based selling and the ability to identify and deliver market opportunities.  Whilst sector experience may be advantageous, the ability to offer strong relationship and networking skills, along with good IT and presentation skills will be essential.  The individual will be a persuasive and effective communicator with the ability to engage, motivate, influence and work effectively with a variety of stakeholders and bring a creative approach to skills development.  The role will appeal to a ‘self-starter’ seeking to make a real difference to the organisation and will offer an increasingly higher profile and scope for personal development as success is delivered.
