Vacancy for Chemical Industry Champion

Working Higher is a £2.9 million collaborative partnership between Cogent Sector Skills Council, the Higher Education Academy Physical Science Centre, Semta, the University of Hull and five Higher Education Institutions. Funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE), the project was developed to be a solution to workforce development needs by creating a flexible, work-based Foundation Degree framework in the nuclear, chemicals and bioscience sectors.

The Working Higher Foundation Degree framework will be developed in collaboration with the sector and designed to meet the needs of individual learners. It will focus on workforce development, be flexible in content and delivery mode and will make use of significant work-based learning.

Job purpose:

To work with the academic team at Manchester Metropolitan University to develop an employer-led modular, work-based Foundation Degree for the chemical based industries.
