Update on Graduate to Merseyside

Working closely with the local Chambers of Commerce, BusinessLink, Culture Campus, The Mersey Partnership and other employer organisations, Graduate to Merseyside provides a portal for graduates to enter the job market, while providing local SMEs the opportunity to improve their competitiveness.

Companies can recruit high-quality graduates from the three local universities (University of Liverpool, Liverpool John Moores and Liverpool Hope University) in different areas, depending on their needs.

The project has given local employers some significant benefits:

“Taking on our first members of staff was a big leap for us. We are a small company and it was important for us to choose the right partner to help us find the right people to help grow our business.  We have used the University of Liverpool Careers Service three times over the last 12 months. On each occasion they have delivered a choice of excellent quality candidates in a really efficient manner”
Chris Rose – Director Serviced City Pads, Liverpool

“As a local business operating nationally, we have always supported graduate employment initiatives. We recently used the Careers and Employability Service to recruit a graduate for Cirrus Purchasing Ltd. We found the service to be efficient and the staff to be helpful. We would be happy to use the service again next time we are recruiting and would recommend the service to other SMEs.”
Maeve Jackson – Operations Manager, Cirrus Purchasing

Graduate to Merseyside is supported by the European Regional Development Fund through the North West Regional Development Agency
