AIM
You will be responsible for, or take part in, different lubricating grease development projects, which can be improvements of already existing products, development of new greases, improvements of production processes and also development of testing methods.
Person Requirements
The key duties of the post are as follows:
• To help develop new products, from marketing idea to product launch
• Observe Company Regulations concerning ISO 9001 procedures and all aspects of Health & Safety
• A direct responsibility for the Housekeeping of all Laboratory areas
• Transfer of New Products into Production, including Manufacturing Methods, QC Specifications and batch supervision
• Meet raw material suppliers relevant to the current project
• Good time management & ability to work on more than one project at any one time
• Work in a safe manner at all times
Other working requirements:
• This is a ‘hands on’ position and so the ability to work unsupervised using your own initiative is expected
• A technical mindset with a genuine interest in product development is expected in order to fulfil the role
We recognize that a Sandwich Student would require a significant time learning how greases are formulated and tested. The above Job Description is an aspiration and will take an exceptional One Year Placement student to realise.
Because of the changing nature of our business your job description will inevitably change. You will, from time to time, be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within your capabilities as directed by management.
Academic Requirements
Applicants should be on a chemistry degree or similar and looking to go out and complete a year- long placement.
