Nuffield Bursary Scheme - Projects Required

Could you provide a placement for a student for the Nuffield Bursary Scheme this Summer?
  
The students undertake a 4-6 week placement working on a new or ongoing research project in Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics alongside a research professional, this is not work experience but an opportunity for the students to assist in research and many of the  students have had their research work published.  The students are dedicated to increasing their knowledge in a subject area that they hope to study at university and they have great enthusiasm for learning.

Each student is awarded £80 per week by Nuffield to cover the cost of travel and subsistence.  Towards the end of the placement they are expected to provide a project report producing 4 copies of the report (1 for the project provider, 1 for school, 1 for Nuffield which is sent to Maestro and 1 to keep).  They are also expected to take part in a Nuffield Bursary Celebration Evening in October where they will display their work to an invited audience including parents and mentors.

There are 130 bursaries to allocate across the whole of the region and they are still looking to place around 20 of these students, several of which have aspirations in Chemistry. The standard of these students is very high and it would be extremely disappointing for them if we were unable to place them.

If you would be willing to provide a project then please complete the attached Project Provider Application Form (see below) with details of the project and the dates for the placement including the number of weeks.  If you could let me know as soon as possible as time is a serious issue now.
