The Northwest Business Environment Awards 2010

The Northwest Business Environment Awards is the most prestigious regional event in celebration of environmental business excellence. The event, hosted by ENWORKS and the Northwest Regional Development Agency, is a celebration of the crème-de-la-crème of the region's environmentally conscious businesses.

Companies, both large and small, across all sectors in Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Merseyside compete each year to be crowned as one of our region's green heroes. The awards recognise and reward those companies that are taking significant steps to put the environment at the heart of their business success.

Now in its eighth successive year, the awards continue to attract the highest calibre of applications from all sectors of industry – from multinationals with a presence in the region to innovative business start-ups. The reputation of the awards means they attract a wealth of high profile sponsors from the public and private sector, and this year they have the backing of the Northwest Regional Development Agency, The Environment Agency, Northwest Business Insider, Envirolink Northwest, the Environment Agency, Groundwork, the Institute of Directors and Foundation – the climate fund for the Northwest. This year's host is ENWORKS, the region's environmental business support programme. The prize-giving ceremony features speakers from industry, along with an opportunity to meet the winners and network with environmental and business leaders. The awards, to be held in Manchester on October 19th 2010, will be the most prestigious event in the region's green business calendar.
