Expression of interest - UK pavilion at CPhI Worldwide

Frankfurt, 25-27 October 2011

Due to a number of queries regarding a UK pavillion at CPhI Worldwide please find below some further details if you are interested in possibly exhibiting.

The CIA has negotiated a provisional space allocation with the organisers to see if there is enough interest from a quorum of companies to put together a UK pavilion at this year's event.

Unfortunately it has not been possible to secure UKTI funding due to the Government spending review and UKTI's consequent reduction in the amount of exhibition scheme money for 2011/2012 (including the current non-availability of SOLO show support). In effect this will mean that the stand will be a commercial venture funded entirely by the participants this year. If enough companies are interested then the price per company may be available.

It is difficult at this stage to set a firm price for participating as unit costs vary according to the eventual size and layout of the stand.  However, as a rule of thumb, it should be possible to put together a stand similar in construction to the UK stand used at last year's show (i.e. no walls, one free standing back lit panel, table, 2 chairs, 5 sq m of carpeted space) for circa £6k per participant + VAT.

If you are interested in taking up such an offer (without commitment at this stage) please respond by replying to Neil Harvey - HarveyN@CIA.org.uk - but please also copy tricia.francis@uktinorthwest.co.uk in case there is any potential funding from regions, or any change in the SOLO ruling.
