Are you interested in joining? Plastic Electronics - UK Trade/Collaboration Mission to Finland

ESP KTN and the KCMC in collaboration with UKTI are planning a mission to Finland October 3rd - 6th 2011.

The mission is open to UK registered organizations offering UK-origin (or high added-value) products or services relevant to the field of Plastic/Printed Electronics.
 
Proposed Itinerary:
 
2nd October:
Arrival in Helsinki

3rd October:
Attendance at  “Printed Intelligence –Towards Applications” 1-day seminar organised by Tekes (the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology & Innovation) to discuss dedicated application driven R&D efforts on printed intelligence (plastic electronics). Short presentations by the UK delegation as well as one-to-one meetings with potential collaboration/commercial partners form part of this day.

4th October:
Programme of one-to-one meetings based around the ELKOM* Electronics & Communication Technology (ECT) Forum event where the Key Note Speaker is Nokia CEO Stephen Elop.
*ELKOM is the leading professional electronics event for the Baltic region, taking place in Helsinki October 4th- 6th.

4th or 5th October (tbc):
UK delegation visit to VTT-PrintoCent*, in Oulu (1 hr flight from Helsinki) and others
*PrintoCent is the Finnish innovation centre for Printed Electronics taking research results from laboratories into industrial production and products in cooperation with Finnish and foreign companies.

6th October:
Option to stay for ELKOM/ECT forum event “Seeds for New Electronics” which explores additional themes related to Printed Intelligence.

A mission participation fee of  £250 + VAT per company will be charged which includes:

* Recommended travel and accommodation itinerary**
* Pre-organised group itinerary of in-market briefing, one-to-one collaboration/commercial appointments with relevant attendees to events on 3rd & 4th October, site visits
* In-market support from UKTI Finland and BIS Science & Innovation Network
** Fee does not include flight, accommodation, subsistence, insurance. The recommended travel package will be a guide only. Delegates are responsible for making their own arrangements.
