Celebrate Good Times
There’s been much talk of awards here at Chemicals Northwest HQ over the past few months (if you’re not sure why then please see here) but last week it was time to focus attention on the other set of awards that recognise the chemical industry.
On Thursday evening the North West proudly played host to the prestigious 2010 Chemical Industry Awards. Over 400 guests gathered within the spectacular setting of St George’s Hall, Liverpool as outstanding individual, collective and corporate performance within the industry was recognised and celebrated.
Our congratulations go to all the winning companies but particularly to the North West winners: the GlaxoSmithKline Ulverston site, which scooped two awards on the night (the Environmental Leadership Award and the Responsible Care Special Award for Process Safety Leadership) and Pentagon for taking home the National Skills Award.
Although not based in the North West, our congratulations also go to the Chemical Industry Education Centre in York which delivers the popular Children Challenging Industry programme (supported in the NW by Chemicals Northwest) for their Special Award.
