This is a call for project ideas in and around products from waste

The Products from Waste special interest group has been set up by the R&D Active Network run by Envirolink Northwest to increase and focus innovation in R&D and Waste Technologies in this area in the Northwest.  The group consists of 20 representatives and experts from industry, academia, research companies, and support organisations.  All members and attendees sign a confidentiality agreement so all project proposals and ideas can be presented and discussed in confidence with the group.  For instance you may have an idea in the following waste areas:

• Chemicals
• Construction
• Textiles
• Plastics

You should be involved if you:
• have a problem in waste that you would like to bring to the group to discuss potential solutions
• have a current R&D project that you are looking for university and research companies to partner with

• need assistance or would like guidance in accessing funding

• you are looking for projects to collaborate with in this area

• you want to network with companies, and discuss problems in this area

If you would like to present a proposal in confidence to the group in which you are looking for assistance either in finding partners, funding, or general advice, reply to before the 25th November.  The next meeting of the products from waste group is taking place on the 1st December 2009 (09:00 – 13:30) at The Centre, Birchwood.
