This is a call for project ideas in and around products from waste
The Products from Waste special interest group has been set up by the R&D Active Network run by Envirolink Northwest to increase and focus innovation in R&D and Waste Technologies in this area in the Northwest. The group consists of 20 representatives and experts from industry, academia, research companies, and support organisations. All members and attendees sign a confidentiality agreement so all project proposals and ideas can be presented and discussed in confidence with the group. For instance you may have an idea in the following waste areas:
• Chemicals
• Construction
• Textiles
• Plastics
You should be involved if you:
• have a problem in waste that you would like to bring to the group to discuss potential solutions
• have a current R&D project that you are looking for university and research companies to partner with
• need assistance or would like guidance in accessing funding
• you are looking for projects to collaborate with in this area
• you want to network with companies, and discuss problems in this area
If you would like to present a proposal in confidence to the group in which you are looking for assistance either in finding partners, funding, or general advice, reply to E.Brassington@envirolinknorthwest.co.uk before the 25th November. The next meeting of the products from waste group is taking place on the 1st December 2009 (09:00 – 13:30) at The Centre, Birchwood.
