Are you a North West SME and do you want to be part of a UKTI trade mission to Egypt in February 2012?

UKTI Egypt are organising a 2-centre chemicals trade mission from  26 Feb - 1 March 2012. This mission is open to all UK chemical companies offering UK manfactured or high UK value added chemicals or related services.

Please find attached details of "Why Egypt" (below), the chemical industry in Egypt, the demand for particular products that the team have tracked, as well as the outline of the 4 day programme they have put together.

The mission will be visiting Cairo and Alexandria (travel between the cities will be organised by the UKTI team). Whilst there are no set flights to adhere to the team will be looking to organise "mission hotels" so that delegates can benefit from their corporate rates and also be in the same place. So far it is thought the hotels will be:

Rate: Egyptian Pound 900 (approx £95) per room per night B&B
Alexandria: Maritim Jolie Ville - http://www.maritim.com/en/hotels/egypt/jolie-ville-hotel-alexandria
Rate: Egyptian Pount 600 (approx £63) per room per night B&B

Costs of the in-country seminars and local transport will be covered by the UKTI team. Flight/accommodation/meals other than those perhaps provided within the networking events must be covered by the delegates.

There will be a participation charge of £500 incl VAT which will be payable via our UKTI Overseas Market Introduction Scheme.

For eligible Northwest registered small to medium-sized enterprises Tricia Francis from UKTI has managed to secure 5 x UKTI Market Visit Support grants of £530 per company towards flight and accommodation. Please contact Tricia for further information on this. For SMEs outside the NW region please contact your local international trade team to see whether there may be similar support under UKTI Market Visit Support or regional European / other funded schemes.
