The Fichtner office in Stockport, Cheshire, was founded in 1991 and employs more than 70 engineering and project management staff and has an annual turnover of around £8 million. The company provides civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, process and chemical engineering design services, including pipe stress analysis. The Company uses the Fichtner group in-house software for process simulation and electrical systems analysis and the UK company is able to undertake numerical modelling and simulation of complex engineering and production systems.
Fichtner provides engineering design and project management services to process industries, public utility companies, waste management companies, developers of renewable energy schemes and financiers. The UK company is currently project manager for the RDF fired combined heat and power plant under construction at the works of Ineos Chlor in Runcorn.
