The journey to excite and inspire children about science and technology needs to start early, ideally at primary school. Chemicals Northwest coordinates two programmes that ensure schools can deliver relevant and exciting science teaching, and give children and students an opportunity to visit chemicals companies and see science in action.

Chemicals Northwest also sponsors the Catalyst Science Discovery Centre in Widnes - the UK’s only science centre dedicated to chemistry. Catalyst plays an important role in encouraging children to study science, especially chemistry, and helps student teachers learn how to make science engaging for pupils.
