Chemicals Northwest’s university links programme puts industry in direct contact with academic specialists. With 15 Higher Education Establishments (HEI’s) in the region, industry has a significant competitive advantage to exploit if the two sectors can work in harmony together. Chemical Elements events, routinely themed around innovation, provide a regular forum to exchange ideas and communicate the latest developments in research.

The directory outlining Chemical Sciences Capabilities in the North West (produced in conjunction with North West Universities Association, NWUA) identifies key areas of expertise across all the HEI’s/universities, enabling companies to commission new cutting edge research. With outstanding centres of excellence in Manchester, Liverpool and Lancaster, supported by strong expertise in other centres across the region, the industry in the Northwest has a major ally on its doorstep.
