CoEBio3 and CPI

If your business is looking for that step-change in process technology and methods to differentiate yourselves from the pack, there are two centres in the North of the UK to help you trial and develop industry biotechnology routes to products.

CoEBio3 is the Centre of Excellence for Biocatalysis, Biotransformations and Biocatalytic Manufacture, based at Manchester University. The centre has a world-class team working with industry to develop the enzymes and processes required to test and optimise biotechnology options for chemical production.

CPI is the Centre for Process Innovation, based in Wilton. Together with CoEBio3, they form the National Industrial Biotechnology Facility that has recently received government funding to increase demonstrator facilities for industry.
