Launch of the Working Better initiative: Practical Guide for Managers on Introducing New Ways to Work16 October 2009, 11am - 1pm
Trevor Phillips, Chair of the Equality and Human Rights Commission, and Angie Robinson, Chief Executive of Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, would like to invite you to join us for the launch of the Commission's Flexible Working Guide for employers.
The Commission and Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce are working in partnership to deliver this joint event and build on a longer term ambition to establish a strategic relationship.
The focus is on efficient and innovative management practice, through the successful introduction and management of flexible working. It's about people management skills and the issues managers may face.
It gives case study examples from small and larger business organisations, practical guidance for managers to better utilise time and resources, and a troubleshooting guide to help managers think through the challenges they may encounter.
There will be short presentations from the Commission and the Chamber, a chance for debate and an opportunity to hear from leading employer practitioners in the region.
If you are able to join us please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org by 5pm on Friday 2nd October 2009 and we will then confirm your place and send you a programme for the launch. Location: The Hilton Hotel, Deansgate, Manchester
