The New Energy Economy

4th May, 6-8pm, The University of Hull’s Allam Lecture Theatre, Hull

Following recent announcements there has been a lot of focus on renewable wind energy in the Humber region - but what happens when the wind won’t blow?  Where will the energy come from to run industry and our homes?

The coal, oil and gas solution has been a nice simple one to understand, but the energy mix which will run our homes and businesses in 20 years time is set to be a much more diverse and complicated story.  The Humber regions geography and existing industry puts us at the centre of this energy evolution, but what does this mean for businesses and local communities?

To find out how the UK’s energy economy is being transformed by climate change, security of supply and the maintenance of affordable energy prices, come to THE NEW ENERGY ECONOMY on Wednesday 4th May, 6-8pm at The University of Hull.
