Peak oil, oil price volatility and the vulnerability of key industry sectors in the Northwest
Thursday 30th September 2010, 2.00pm - 4.30pm
NWDA, Renaissance House, Warrington
As part of our commitment to understanding and advising the Northwest on the enviro-economic impacts of the use of natural resources the NWDA commissioned work to examine the vulnerability of the region’s key industry sectors to oil depletion and price volatility.
This event will include an overview from Stewart Brown (SQW) and Dan Lee (Cambridge Econometrics) of the issues and science of peak oil and its impact on the price of oil, energy and oil derived feedstocks e.g. plastics.
It will also include a presentation from Simon Snowden of the Oil Depletion Impact Group at Liverpool University on their work to help businesses to identify their exposure to oil price volatility.
