Halton Borough Council Procurement Workshop
24th January 2011
Halton Borough Council is working in partnership with Halton Chamber of Commerce in order to host a series of events aimed at assisting local businesses to trade more effectively with the public sector. Halton Borough Council is committed to improving ways of trading with the business community by promoting opportunities through the use of The Chest - a web-based tool used by the Council. We aim to ensure transparency within all future trading by moving towards advertising all opportunities above £1000 in value on The Chest.
Forthcoming workshops will guide businesses through the public sector procurement process and offer practical tips that could help when bidding for work with Halton Borough Council and other public sector bodies. The January Workshops will offer a step by step insight into the completion of documentation that is used throughout the tender process, as well as highlighting common pitfalls. Future sessions will include Meet The Buyer Events, which will be themed around business classification.
The workshops are being held at 09.00am, 11.30am and 14.30pm at The Heath Business Park, Runcorn on Monday 24th January 2011 (two hour sessions).
These workshops are FREE for all Halton businesses to attend and should not be missed, and are available on a first come, first served basis. To reserve your place please contact Halton Chamber of Commerce at email@example.com or ring 01928 516142, with your contact details, specifying your preferred date and time.
