COMAH – A new approach

Thursday 7th April 2011, 13:00 – 16:30, Poplar Room, The Heath Business and Technical Park, Runcorn, Cheshire, WA7 4QX

Invitation to a Free Technical Seminar

Key Note Speaker – Ian Travers, Head of Chemical Industries Strategy Unit, HSE

The Health and Safety Executive and the Environment Agency have changed the way they enforce the COMAH Regulations. As a result of their COMAH Remodeling programme they will spend less time on assessment and more time on site inspection. The aim is to more directly check the adequacy of major
hazard control measures and take a wider view of performance between individual sites, across sector and nationally. This seminar will explore what this will mean for COMAH Operators and how they may play their part in reducing the risk of a major accident.
