CIA Hydrofluoric acid users annual conference

1 DECEMBER, MANCHESTER

This year’s CIA HF Annual Conference will for the first time be held away from London at the Macdonald Manchester Hotel, on Thursday 1st December. The conference is the premier event for manufacturers and users of HF acid, and anyone working with or potentially coming into contact with it should appreciate its particular hazards – it is a very aggressive substance and requires very careful management of the risks. The conference programme covers the latest developments in key aspects of working with HF, in a forum where users and medical staff can share and discuss how best to avoid incidents and treat any burns that do occur. Key themes of the conference this year will explore inspection, maintenance and decontamination of equipment in HF service, the lessons learned from actual incidents that have occurred during the year, and emergency response procedures. If you work with HF, the conference is an essential part of managing it safely and protecting people. For further details, please contact Mavis Wright (wrightm@cia.org.uk) or Phil Scott (scottp@cia.org.uk)
