Ageing plant seminar

30 NOVEMBER, RUNCORN

Plant ageing, leading to an increased risk of loss of containment and other failures due to plant and equipment deterioration, has been shown to be an important factor in incidents and accidents.

However many operating assets in the process industries are required to operate well beyond their original design lives. The challenge is to demonstrate to regulators and stakeholders that these “ageing assets” can be operated safely, reliably and economically for their required operating life. This seminar, centred around one of HSE’s key inspection topics for 2012 will identify the regulators expectations, provide expert advice and look at good practice from within the industry.
